“ Solid, well made food. Highly recommend their perfectly cooked scotch egg which was seasoned just right and the egg yolk was nice and runny. The Pourhouse burger was juicy and delicious as well, we liked how the center was just mildly medium rare which made the burger juicier. The beef tartare tasted fresh and the black garlic Caesar salad has great flavour. The fries tasted like Wendy’s fries but could have been crisper. A great meal. ”

“ Do you like meat? This place does! The food menu isn’t huge but everything on it is tempting. The drinks menu however is extensive, living up to their name. The scotch egg and the tots are both musts—so delicious, and where else can you get a perfect scotch egg? I thoroughly enjoyed the freshness and lightness of the crispy portobello burger, which was not too spicy. The others in my group had burgers, and they are thick and juicy! The Pourhouse burger is celebrated in reviews, and by our waitress; we found the first half is amazing but by the second half it’s bringing on the meat-sweats. You also shouldn’t pass up the crispy chicken starter/snack. The fries are really good, but honestly, swap them out for the salads—they were exceptional! The atmosphere is chill and very Vancouver, and we loved watching the kitchen from where we were seated. Our server Maddy was amazing—helpful, attentive, funny, and down to earth and enjoyed our banter. I would totally recommend. ”

“ This is one of my go-to spots for drinks and food in Gastown. They always have top notch cocktails that are well made. I quite enjoyed the Amaro Iced Tea as it was herbaceous and delicious. They have a generous happy hour menu as well, with their classic food items and discount on drinks. The taters are one of my favourites and they make a pretty good burger. They also have live music on certain nights. It can get quite busy, so make sure you go earlier or book in advance. Overall, a solid joint for good drinks and food, any time of night. ”

“ This is only to review happy hour which is 3-5pm. Won't mind coming back but nothing special. There are other places for happy hour that are better. They are famous for their scotch egg which was a nice snack to have. Their meatballs were good butwish there were some more cheese and basil to enhance the favor. Truffle tots were not as great as last time we had it. Maybe less truffle this time ? Smash burger was ok but could have presented better. We went on a weekend so it wasn't too busy. Can have decent conversations without yelling at each other. ”

“ 4/5 Just tried 2 drinks and 1 snacks, the sausage they made for Dutch egg was pretty good, I liked it. The old fashioned was nice but the second one the bar tender made, which taste a little like whiskey sour was really good. ”

“ we came here very late, 40 mins before closing but they still let us stay for longer (even after it closed!) and service was still so patient and kind. the scotch egg was really phenomenal, ESPECIALLY the aioli it came with. it was slightly spicy, super tangy and salty and sweet and had a hint of paprika, and it was just so addicting. the pourhouse burger was also really great — a bit small for the price, but really high quality. the pork belly was crispy and crackling and had a smoky flavour, and the patty was so thick, tender, and juicy it was literally dripping. the caramelized onions were a bit cold though. i think the burger for per se social corner is better, but this was still fantastic. the truffle potato tots are a MUST get here — they’re super crispy and dense with potato (not airy) and you actually get quite a lot for a side. the apple crumble was very disappointing though. it wasn’t very “crumble”, and mostly just apples. the ice cream melted fast and i honestly didn’t love it. ”

“ Pretty nice vibes here albeit a bit expensive. Hence why I’d suggest happy hour. It’s a decent deal and there’s some items you can’t really get at other places like a scotch egg. Was my first time trying one and I loved it. The tots were super yummy too. Service was great so I can’t complain but I definitely could if I didn’t go at happy hour. Prices seemed a bit steep for what you get. ”
